Ray.BBDM is working on a recruitment process for one of its clients that aims to include a Farm Operations Manager in its structure. Our client is an innovative company based in Algarve, Portugal, dedicated to sustainable and cutting-edge practices. It is focused on developing and optimising natural resources and employs advanced technologies and methodologies to ensure high-quality outputs.
Mission:
As a Farm Operations Manager, you'll oversee the daily activities of production facilities, ensuring efficient and effective operations. You will manage operational teams, coordinate production, and implement plans to optimise productivity and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, ensuring high performance and engagement.
- Activity Coordination: Plan and coordinate all operational activities, ensuring company goals and objectives are aligned.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve production results and operational efficiency.
- Resource Management: Effectively manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimise production processes.
- Opex and Capex: Prepare the budget for Opex and Capex for the farm and manage it on a day-to-day basis.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance productivity and achieve business goals.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese are mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, Biology, Agriculture or other related field.
- Proven experience in an operations management role, preferably in the primary sector.
- Experience in Managing and Leading operational teams.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
- Ability to analyse and improve operational processes.
